How to use Spin the Wheel

  1. Edit the options in the left panel — click any field and type your own choices. The wheel updates live as you type.
  2. Click the blue Spin button — or tap the wheel directly — to start. The wheel spins smoothly and decelerates to a random stop.
  3. The winning segment lights up in a winner card below the wheel. Confetti fires automatically on every result.
  4. For elimination-style games, click Remove winner & spin again to drop the winner from the list and keep going until one option remains.
  5. Use Copy link to share your custom wheel — options are encoded in the URL so anyone can load the same wheel instantly.

When to use Spin the Wheel

  • Classroom activities — Pick which student answers next, choose teams randomly, or decide which topic to review first without anyone feeling singled out.
  • Giveaways & prizes — Add participant names and spin for a winner everyone can watch in real time. The animation makes the reveal exciting.
  • Group decisions — Can't agree on dinner, a movie, or a weekend activity? Add the options and let the wheel decide — no more endless back-and-forth.
  • Elimination games — Use “Remove winner & spin again” for tournament-style elimination: keep spinning until only one option survives.
  • Live streaming — Streamers use custom wheels for viewer challenges, punishment games, and random content picks. Share the link so your audience can load the same wheel.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spin truly random?

Yes. The winner is selected using crypto.getRandomValues(), which is cryptographically secure — not the weaker Math.random() used by most other wheel tools. The animation angle is calculated to land on the pre-determined winner, so the spin is visually authentic but the outcome is already decided the moment you click Spin.

Can I save my wheel for later?

Click Copy link to get a shareable URL that encodes all your current options. Bookmark it or send it to anyone — when they open the link, the wheel loads with your exact list automatically. No account needed.

How many options can I add?

Up to 20 options. The wheel labels automatically truncate to fit the segment size at higher counts. For the clearest display, 4–12 items works best — each label stays fully readable without truncation.
